La bassa tensione è un settore ad alta crescita: sei pronto per essere pagato quello che vali?
Febbraio 19, 2022
We’re sure you’ve heard this many times, but the Global Low Voltage Cable Market is going to see huge growth over the next few years.
How much is the low voltage market expected to grow?
According to a report on the Global Low Voltage Cable Industry by Reportlinker, the Global Low Voltage Cable Market is expected to reach $200.4 Billion by 2027, up from an estimated $135.1 Billion in 2020.
Canada is expected to see a growth rate of 5.2%. If we zoom in to Ontario specifically, we’re expecting to see the most growth in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
What does this mean for you?
The short answer is, your skills will be worth more money. With the growth of the low voltage market, there will be an increased demand for experienced communications workers like you. There simply aren’t enough skilled workers or apprentices in the field today to meet the rapidly increasing demands.
We asked Brad Watt a telecommunications industry worker, licenced Networking Cabling Specialist and Education Coordinator at Ontario Electrical Industry Training Trust Fund – OEITTF, what he thinks about the future for communications workers.
Here’s what Brad had to say:
“Our jobs are changing. Pay rates will definitely change over time. But for me, there’s more to it than a higher hourly rate. It’s about how long into the future I can work.
How do I stay employed until retirement? In my perspective, the only way is by adapting to the new technologies and changes in the market and maintaining the proper training and certification to continue to work to the highest standards.”Brad Watt, Education Coordinate at OEITTF
