IBEW BENEFITS INCLUDE:

PRESCRIPTION, VISION, AND DENTAL COVERAGE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Some locals offer additional coverage that’s important to their members with options to extend benefits, eg. chiropractor, registered massage therapy, physiotherapy, to name just a few.

Your benefits are 100% secure and portable. Your benefits continue for as long as you have credits from the hours you’ve worked. Should you choose to take parental leave, your benefits continue on the same basis. You have the ability to continue your benefits into retirement, when you may need them most.

As an IBEW Network Cabling Specialist, your life insurance coverage is up to $125,000 (more in some areas)— doubled if accidental death— including long term disability coverage.

PENSIONS AND RETIRED LIFE

Construction work is hard on your body, so you’ll be glad to know that you’ll be laying a solid foundation for retirement. An IBEW pension will enable you to enjoy life without having to worry about making ends meet.

As an IBEW Journeyman, you’ll receive between $2.39 and $4.25 per hour from your employer for your pension.  This is in addition to your base pay.

Retirees and their families can stay connected. Each local has a retiree club, providing you with the opportunity to keep friendships alive, stay active, and even help guide the next generation of electricians. Richard Prasad tells us more:
